The Market

Why an electrical, electronic and solar exhibition in India matters right now

Three industries that used to sell to separate buyers are now selling to the same one. A factory owner sourcing a distribution panel is also quoting for a rooftop solar plant. A solar EPC contractor needs inverters, cables, earthing systems, mounting structures and monitoring electronics from four different vendors. An electronics manufacturer supplying controllers is quoting to both.

That convergence is exactly why a combined electrical exhibition in India, an electronics exhibition in India and a solar exhibition in India work better together than apart. A visitor who walks a hall looking for one category leaves with quotations from three.

India's manufacturing base is also no longer concentrated in one or two metros. Industrial clusters in Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Rajkot and Vadodara each have their own supply chains, their own buying culture and their own MSME density. A single national show in one city reaches a fraction of them. A circuit reaches all of them — which is how EngiExpo is built.

The Platform

What EngiExpo is

EngiExpo is an industrial trade fair in India jointly organised by FSSI (Federation of Small Scale Industries) and 2WAY Advertising. It has been running since 2015 and has completed multiple editions across western and northern India.

The format is deliberately practical rather than ceremonial. Domes are laid out so that a purchase manager can cover an entire sourcing category in a single aisle. Stalls are sized for small and mid-size manufacturers, not just large brands, which is why the exhibitor mix leans heavily toward MSMEs who actually take orders on the floor.

Every edition of this upcoming exhibition in India follows the same structure: three days of trade visiting (four in Rajkot), free visitor entry with prior registration, live machine demonstrations, and a buyer profile drawn from the host city's own industrial belt.

Exhibit Profile

Three sectors, one exhibition floor

What actually gets displayed at this electrical, electronic and solar exhibition in India.

Electrical Equipment

The backbone of the show and the reason most plant engineers walk in. From LT panels to earthing systems, this is a full electrical trade show under one dome.

  • LT & HT Panels
  • Transformers
  • Servo Voltage Stabilizers
  • Switchgear
  • Cables & Wires
  • Motors & Drives
  • Busbar Systems
  • Industrial Lighting
  • Earthing & Lightning Protection

Electronics & Automation

The fastest-growing aisle of the electronics expo in India, driven by factories retrofitting older lines with sensors, controls and monitoring.

  • PLC & SCADA
  • HMI Panels
  • Industrial Sensors
  • Power Electronics
  • PCB & Assemblies
  • Test & Measurement
  • Instrumentation
  • IoT & Remote Monitoring
  • Robotics

Solar & Renewable Energy

A full solar energy exhibition within the show — modules, inverters, structures, balance of system and the EPC services that tie them together.

  • Solar Panels & Modules
  • On-Grid & Off-Grid Inverters
  • Mounting Structures
  • Solar Cables & Connectors
  • Batteries & Storage
  • Rooftop EPC Services
  • Solar Pumps
  • Net Metering Solutions
  • Energy Monitoring

Plus: General Engineering

Because buyers rarely source in one category, EngiExpo also carries machine tools, fabrication equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics, material handling, pre-engineered buildings, castings and forgings, surface treatment, safety equipment and industrial services. It is what makes this an engineering expo rather than a single-sector trade fair.

Live demonstrations, not just brochures

Machines run on the floor. Panels are opened up. Inverters are switched under load. For a purchase decision that involves commissioning risk, watching equipment work in front of you is worth more than a specification sheet — and it is the single most common reason repeat visitors give for coming back.

Host Markets

Six cities, six different buyer bases

Each host city brings a distinct industrial cluster to the exhibition floor.

01

Exhibition in Pune

19th Edition · 21–23 Nov 2026 · PIECC Moshi

Pune anchors the Pimpri-Chinchwad, Chakan and Ranjangaon belts — automotive, auto components, heavy engineering and a deep tier-2 and tier-3 supplier base. Buyers here are technically demanding and specification-driven, which suits exhibitors selling automation, drives and precision components.

02

Exhibition in Ahmedabad

20th Edition · 19–21 Dec 2026 · GMDC Ground

Ahmedabad is the home market, with chemicals, pharma, textiles, engineering and one of the country's most active rooftop solar markets feeding the hall. The Sanand, Changodar and Naroda estates supply a steady flow of plant-level buyers and MSME owners who sign on the floor.

03

Exhibition in Surat

21st Edition · 6–8 Feb 2027 · Vanita Vishram Ground

Textiles, diamonds and a fast-expanding engineering base make Surat a high-consumption market for power quality equipment, stabilizers, captive solar and process automation. Hazira's heavy industry adds a large-project buyer layer on top of the MSME base.

04

Exhibition in Jaipur

22nd Edition · 28–30 Aug 2027 · JECC Sitapura

Rajasthan has among the highest solar irradiance in India and a policy environment that keeps utility-scale and rooftop projects moving. For solar exhibitors, Jaipur is the edition where the renewable aisle typically draws the most serious project enquiries.

05

Exhibition in Rajkot

23rd Edition · 21–24 Nov 2027 · NSIC Ground

Rajkot is a machine-tool and casting capital with thousands of small manufacturing units packed into Aji, Metoda and Shapar-Veraval. It is the only four-day edition on the circuit, because the visitor density here justifies the extra day.

06

Exhibition in Vadodara

24th Edition · 5–7 Feb 2028 · Anusuya Ground, Ajwa Road

Vadodara is India's electrical equipment cluster in the truest sense — transformers, switchgear, motors and heavy electricals, alongside the Makarpura and Por estates. For an electrical exhibition, no host city has a more concentrated audience.

For Exhibitors

How to book a stall at EngiExpo

Stall allocation runs on a first-come basis and the prime aisle positions in each dome go early, particularly for the electrical and solar sections.

  1. Pick your edition

Choose the city whose buyer base matches your market — or book multiple editions on the circuit to keep a year-round presence in front of Indian industry.

  2. Submit the exhibitor form

Complete the online exhibitor registration with your company profile, product categories and preferred stall size.

  3. Confirm dome and stall position

The team shares the current hall layout and allocates your stall number against availability in your product category.

  4. Get your pre-show marketing running

Exhibitors are listed in the online exhibitor directory and promoted across EngiExpo's email, social and WhatsApp channels ahead of the show.

  5. Plan your stall and demonstrations

Share your power requirement, machine footprint and any demonstration plan in advance so the site team can prepare the position for you.

For Visitors

Planning your visit

Visitor entry is free with prior online registration. Register before the show, carry a business card or company ID, and you can walk in on any show day.

A few things that make the visit worth more than a walkthrough:

  • Shortlist your sourcing categories before you arrive and use the exhibitor directory to mark the domes you need.
  • Bring your actual technical requirement — load, capacity, voltage, footprint — so exhibitors can quote instead of estimate.
  • Give the solar aisle its own slot. Module, inverter, structure and EPC quotes compared side by side on the same afternoon is the fastest project comparison you will get all year.
  • Visit on day one or two if you want unhurried technical conversations; day three is busier with walk-in buyers.
